SECNAV Carlos Del Toro (Secretary of the Navy) has announced the name selected for a new Virginia Class Submarine. The SSN 808 will be christened as the John H. Dalton to honor the 70th SECNAV. Dalton joined the Navy in 1964 and served as a submariner from 1964 to 1969 and as SECNAV from 1993 to 1998.
