On Saturday, 12 April, members of Hawkbill Base visited The facilities of Idaho Falls Power. Assembling Downtown (across from the library) the group was hosted by our local utility on a tour of one of the city’s Power Generating units, Control Room, and Distribution. Idaho Falls Power serves the city of Idaho Falls with their 5 Run-of-the-River facilities, supplying very competitive rates. First operated in the year 1900 with a generator installed in an irrigation canal the public utility is now celebrating its 125 year, coincidentally the same year the Navy received its first Submarine. Many thanks to Idaho Falls Power for the informative tour and to Scott for organizing.
