1 June 1944 SS 233 Herring 83 killed all hands lost. After torpedoing two merchant ships Herring was hit by two rounds from a shore battery on Matsuwa Island.
14 June 1944 SS 361 Golet 82 killed all hands lost. Japanese records indicate probable cause was an Anti-submarine attack South of Hokkaido and East of Honshu Japan.
18 June 1945 SS 223 Bonefish 85 killed all hands lost depth charge off Hosu.
