Idaho on Eternal Patrol Memorial

Hawkbill Base has approved development of a Memorial to those of Idaho who entered Eternal Patrol while on Active Duty.

We hope to fund the Memorial by SALES of Custom Granite Pavers (Bricks). You can purchase more than one Paver. In addition, non-submariners can also purchase pavers (family, friends, etc)

PLEASE NOTE: the submarine Dolphin Paver with 3 lines of text may only be purchased for those Qualified in submarines

Friends, Family, other Veterans may purchase the 4 line or 2 line paver

If you would like to DONATE, aside from buying a Paver, you can do so with credit, debit, or PayPal through USSVI and the money will go directly to our project. Here is the link…   https://ussvcf.org/idaho-eternal-patrol-memorial/

For an update on progress here are additional details….

Met with Parks and Rec – received preliminary approval – afterwards provided additional information they requested

Received approval and go ahead with a meeting on location – Parks and Rec approved location near Vietnam memorial (as you look at the Vietnam memorial – east looking west – the new memorial would be on the other side and to the right – northwest).

Measured out excavation area for footer slab with Parks and Rec – they will call locator service and will pour slab.

Ordered granite for memorial made down payment of 1/2 = $ 3,300 we’re using same supplier as Legion is using in New Sweden and got 10% off.

Ross and I gathered information for a Grant request which Ross formalized and submitted to  USSVI – again you can DONATE directly by credit, debit, or PayPal through USSVI and the money will go directly to our project. Here is the link…   https://ussvcf.org/idaho-eternal-patrol-memorial/

We intend to fund most of the cost by sale of custom engraved, granite pavers (bricks). I’ll be sending out order forms to everyone in Hawkbill later today.

Project completion projected for next Memorial Day – city is on board with that. This information will also be posted on the Hawkbill website on the 1MC page of the website.

So that’s what we’ve done thus far and will keep moving forward.
